Australia has received a new batch of UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters, further strengthening its tactical transport fleet.
According to the Australian Department of Defence, two new multirole helicopters have been delivered to the country, designed to equip the aviation units of the Army.
The aircraft arrived at the Royal Australian Air Force base in Richmond, New South Wales, aboard a U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III transport aircraft.

With this delivery, the Australian Army now has 17 of the 40 planned UH-60M Black Hawks, which will gradually replace the fleet of MRH-90 Taipan helicopters, considered obsolete. The replacement program is part of Australia’s broader military aviation modernization plan, which extends through 2030.

The new helicopters enhance troop mobility and offer greater capacity for rapid personnel and equipment transport, as well as rescue operations in combat scenarios.
According to the official statement, “defence cooperation between the United States and Australia remains one of the key areas of development, strengthening mutual compatibility on the battlefield.”
